Getting to the Heerlijckyt van Elsmeren – by car or train

Paris approx. 3.5-4 hours (350 km)
Approx. 3.5–4.5 hours by Thalys to Brussels, then on to Diest, bus to Geetbets. Good Thalys connections;
booking early is worth it

Amsterdam approx. 2.5–3 hours (220 km) approx. 3–3.5 hours via IC to Brussels/Leuven, then to Diest Direct train connection with change in Leuven

Düsseldorf approx. 2–2.5 hours (140 km) approx. 3 hours by ICE/IC to Liège or Leuven, then to Diest
Very good connection by train; Flixtrain also possible

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS)
Distance: approx. 210 km
By car: approx. 2.5 to 3 hours
By train: approx. 3 to 3.5 hours
Connection: Amsterdam Schiphol → Brussels or Leuven → Diest → Bus or shuttle to Geetbets
Note: Very large international airport with many direct flights worldwide
Eindhoven Airport (EIN)
Distance: approx. 85–90 km. By car: approx. 1.5 hours. By train: approx. 2 to 2.5 hours. Connection: Eindhoven → Antwerp or Leuven → Diest → Bus or shuttle to Geetbets. Note: Good connections for cheap flights within Europe (e.g., Ryanair, Transavia).
