€80.00
Christian Amin Varkonyi is a handpan player whose music flows like a still river: clear, gentle, and profound. He plays with a serene presence that immediately conveys the deliberate choice of every sound. His melodies possess a special warmth that resonates directly with the listener.
What distinguishes him is his ability to open spaces with the handpan – spaces filled with peace, lightness, and inner connection. His music doesn't touch you through volume, but through authenticity. It invites you to let go, quiet your thoughts, and allow yourself to be carried by the vibrations.
His playing is a moment of stillness, a brief breath that lingers in the heart.
Amin Varkonyi - Handpan Workshops
In Amin Varkonyi 's workshops, participants can expect a vibrant mix of musical technique, creativity, and body awareness.
In the Handpan & Overtone Singing workshop, participants explore the world of overtones – both in the voice and in the instrument. They learn how to make overtones audible, how voice and handpan blend together, and how a simple playing pattern serves as a soundscape for singing.
In the Handpan & Audio Engineering workshop, participants gain practical insights into stage technology and sound design. They learn how to use effects such as reverb or delay, how to properly mike the handpan, which EQ and compression techniques enhance the sound, and what to consider during live performances.
The Handpan & Body Percussion workshop demonstrates the strong connection between music and the body. Through rhythmic exercises, grooves, and movements, the sense of timing, flow, and intuition is deepened – music becomes a physical experience that significantly facilitates learning.
Handpan for Beginners offers a playful introduction for absolute beginners. It focuses on basic rhythms, striking techniques, posture, intuitive playing, and a fundamental understanding of melody, harmony, and scales – ideal for anyone who wants to discover the instrument from scratch.
Depending on demand, one of the topics – overtone singing or audio engineering – will be revisited in an additional in-depth class.
